All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, academic quality, and publication ethics. Manuscripts that meet these requirements are assigned to at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

• Originality and novelty of the research.
• Theoretical and scholarly contribution.
• Methodological rigor and research validity.
• Clarity and quality of analysis and presentation.
• Compliance with research and publication ethics.
• Relevance to the journal's focus and scope in Islamic Studies.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may make one of the following decisions:

• Accept.
• Accept with minor revisions.
• Revise and resubmit.
• Reject.

The final publication decision is made by the Editor based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript (where applicable), and the journal's editorial policies.

The normal peer review process is expected to be completed within 4–8 weeks, although the review period may vary depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
