All manuscripts submitted to Nusantara International Journal of Islamic Studies (NIJIS) are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other reliable similarity detection tools before entering the peer review process.

The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, properly cited quotations, and commonly used methodological expressions. Manuscripts that exceed the permitted similarity threshold or exhibit evidence of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected immediately or returned to the authors for revision, depending on the nature and extent of the similarity.
